There’s no need to mess around with adverts or even worry about what is being displayed when and where. You just write more content on your website, which in turn creates more adverts from Google, and you receive money every time someone clicks on the ads.
One of the problems with Google Adsense over the years has been the fact that it uses US dollars as a currency, which means that your earnings as a UK publisher are subject to the dollar fluctuations, and more specifically, the pound sterling fluctuations. This meant that money you earned in Adsense last year was considerably less than it was a few years ago because of the weak pound.
Now Google has launched its reporting in local currencies, which means you can see exactly how much you have earned in UK pounds sterling, and you won’t have to worry about the exchange rate. You can also look at your reports retrospectively too, so you can see reports from when you first started with Adsense in pounds sterling.
July is the first month that this has been available, so as yet we’re not sure how accurate these pound sterling reports are, or whether you’ll receive exactly what they say in the reports for the given month. One thing’s for certain though, if there are any losses as a result of swapping currencies you can be sure they won’t be Google’s.
